PAYMENTS Policy

Depending on the way you want to pay, different policies will apply. In case any issue or extra help required our agents could provide you with the support needed in order to complete your purchase properly. 

 

Bank Deposits & Wired Transfers:

  • Hotels: Payment policy is a 50% at booking time. No exceptions. The 50% open balance is due 30 days before the check in date.
  • Activities: Payment policy is a full 100% at booking time. The only exception is Sport Fishing Tours which allow you to pay a 50% deposit and 50% open balance which is due 30 days before the tour start date. 
  • Travel Packages: Payment polity is 50% at booking time. No exceptions. The 50% open balance is due 30 days before the travel package start date.

 

Visa or MasterCard:

  • Hotels: Payment policy is a 100% at booking time. No exceptions.
  • Activities: Payment policy is a 100% at booking time. No exceptions.
  • Travel Packages: Payment policy is a 100% at booking time. No exceptions.

 

Reservations are not confirmed until we acknowledge your payment. We will contact you once we have received your payment.

CANCELLATION POLICY

Our first recommendation is not to cancel, postpone instead. The date on which the request to cancel is received by us will determine the applicable penalty. Note that any costs incurred for changes made by the customer after a booking is confirmed are the sole responsibility of the customer.

 

Hotels:

  • More than 30 days before the check in date: 0% penalty.
  • 30 to 15 days before the check in date: 50% penalty.
  • 15 days or less before the check in date: 100% penalty.
  • For unused portions and no-shows: 100% penalty.

 

Activities:

  • More than 30 days before the check in date: 0% penalty.
  • 30 to 15 days before the check in date: 50% penalty.
  • 15 days or less before the check in date: 100% penalty.
  • For unused portions and no-shows: 100% penalty.

 

Travel Packages:

  • More than 30 days before the trip starts: 25% penalty.
  • 30 to 15 days before the trip starts: 50% penalty.
  • 15 days or less before the trip starts: 100% penalty.
  • For unused portions and no-shows: 100% penalty.

 

Any cancellation by a client must be made in writing and acknowledged by Pura Vida Packages, email us to: reservations@puravidapackages.com Cancellations are not confirmed until we acknowledge them. We will contact you with a confirmation and instructions on how it will be managed.  

refund policy

If clients request a refund, will be done according to the following policies:

 

Hotels: Besides the cancellation penalties, 10% of the total amount is nonrefundable.

Activities: Besides the cancellation penalties, 10% of the total amount is nonrefundable.

Travel Packages: Besides the cancellation penalties, 10% of the total amount is nonrefundable.

 

Bank Deposits & Wired Transfers: All reimbursements will made to the same person who purchased.  

Visa or MasterCard: All reimbursements will be made on the card used for purchase.

Pura Vida Packages keeps communication with our providers (partners) and makes sure to always carry the most updated information about them. We also do frequent visits and inspections to make sure the service provided is what we want to offer you.
 
Pura Vida Packages and all the providers (partners) have a Civil responsibility and liability insurance policy. Most of the guides and drivers are trained in first aid/CPR in case of emergency. However, we highly recommend you have your own travel insurance with a reputable company prior coming to our country.
 
Pura Vida Packages assumes no responsibility for injury, loss or damage to person or property in connection with any service resulting directly from acts of nature, strikes, civil disturbances, government restrictions or regulations, discrepancies or change in transit.

Restaurants & meals:

There is the possibility for you to travel with some or all of your meals included. The meals we include are made with fresh and local ingredients. If you have any dietary restrictions or preferences, we can accommodate you easily! Just let us know when you are booking your trip!

Dependiendo de la forma en la que desees pagar, las políticas van a ser diferentes. En caso de que hay alguna dificultad o requiera ayuda extra, nuestros agentes de ventas podrán brindarle el apoyo necesario para que pueda realizar una compra efectivamente.

 

Depósitos Bancarios & Transferencias Electrónicas:

  • Hoteles: La política de pago es 50% al momento de la reserva. Sin excepciones. El restante 50% queda por ser pagado 30 días antes de la fecha de entrada.
  • Actividades: La política de pago es 100% al momento de la reserva. La única excepción es para tours de Pesca Deportiva los cuales permiten reservar con un depósito del 50% al momento de la reserva y el 50% restante 30 días antes de la fecha de la reserva.
  • Paquetes de Viaje: La política de pago es 50% al momento de la reserva. Sin excepciones. El restante 50% queda por ser pagado 30 días antes de la fecha de entrada.

 

Pago en línea con tarjeta Visa o MasterCard:

  • Hoteles: La política de pago es 100% al momento de la reserva. Sin excepciones.
  • Actividades: La política de pago es 100% al momento de la reserva. Sin excepciones.
  • Paquetes de Viaje: La política de pago es 100% al momento de la reserva. Sin excepciones.

 

Las reservaciones no son confirmadas hasta que su pago sea confirmado por el departamento de contaduría. Le contactaremos cuando hayamos recibido su pago.

  • Con más de 30 días antes de la fecha de entrada: 25% penalidad.

  • Con 15 días o menos antes de la fecha de entrada: 100% penalidad.
  • Por porciones sin uso o no presentarse: 100% penalidad.

 

Cualquier cancelación debe de hacerse llegar por escrito por parte del cliente a: reservaciones@puravidapackages.com Las cancelaciones no serán confirmadas hasta que nosotros las confirmemos. Nosotros nos contactaremos con usted para confirmar los pasos a seguir.

Si un cliente solicita un reembolso, el mismo será efectuado según las siguientes políticas:

 

Hoteles: Además de las penalidades aplicadas por cancelar, 10% del total no es reembolsable.

Paquetes de Viaje: Además de las penalidades aplicadas por cancelar, 10% del total no es reembolsable.

 

Pagos hechos por medio de Depósitos Bancarios & Transferencias Electrónicas: Todo reembolso será efectuado a nombre de la persona quien realizó la compra.

Pagos en línea con tarjetas Visa o MasterCard: El reembolso se va a realizar a la misma tarjeta usada en la compra.
