Get yourself immersed in the Pre-Colombian culture of one of Costa Rica’s Indigenous populations. Learn and interact with its people and the region of Talamanca. You will see organic chocolate being made from scratch by a member of the Bri Bri indigenous tribe from plant to plate! The Bri Bri have a long history of chocolate production in the Puerto Viejo area – you will have an opportunity to buy some organic chocolate bars to help support the Bri Bri community.The tour begins with a hike in the rainforest which will lead you to a waterfall. You will observe the tropical flora and have the opportunity to see red frogs and maybe other inhabitants while you relax and enjoy a refreshing swim in the natural pool. Now that you have an energy boost from trying the chocolate, we’ll head off about 30 minutes outside of town to a breathtaking Puerto Viejo waterfall to go for a hike and refreshing swim.
